R.V. Evans Company Salutes Veterans with Flag Raising Ceremony

In honor of Armed Forces Day (Saturday, May 16) the R.V. Evans Company observed this event on Monday morning, May 18th at 8:30 a.m., with a flag raising ceremony. Employees gathered on the front lawn of the corporate headquarters in Decatur, IL to observe a ceremonial raising of the flag and to recognize the service of fellow R.V. Evans Company Veterans at that time:
John Fiaoni and Vince Alaniz, whose fathers served in the military, assisted with the raising of the flag to half-staff in honor of fallen Illinois Marine, Cpl. Sara Medina.

Kelly Evans, President of R.V. Evans Company, gave a heartfelt tribute to our Veterans stating, "The R.V. Evans Company has a long history of supporting the brave Men and Women serving our great nation and in particular those on our Team - both past and present - who work beside us every day. We proudly and humbly continue to extend our support and with grateful hearts to our fellow Veterans...'Thank You' for your service!" Kelly Evans presented the three Service Veterans currently on staff with a commemorative gift honoring their service and concluded the ceremony with a moment of silence in honor of all Veterans and their sacrifices.
Employees will gather again on the front lawn at 4:00 p.m. to witness the lowering and folding of the flag to conclude their tribute.
